Hiring Moving Crew Chief compensation: $30/hr + tips 
 employment type: contract Local moving company is hiring experienced manager to serve as crew chief for jobs in Maryland, DC, and northern Virginia. $30 per hour + tips Crew Chief Duties include: Review jobs calendar with Administrator Assign moving teams to jobs Manage movers’ schedules Print paperwork for jobs Organize and distribute moving supplies to team Train new movers Work jobs with team and interface with customers Return invoices to administrator for payment Note any questions/improvements In addition to managerial duties, the crew chief must meet qualifications as a mover: Driving to assigned location for work Moving furniture, large appliances, electronics, and boxes Loading/unloading and organizing items on truck Safely transporting items between locations with care and precision Working with other crew members to complete job Communicating effectively with customers Considerations: Must be able to read, write, and speak English Heavy lifting required over long distances and multiple flights of stairs Must have reliable transportation, posess a valid driver's license, and own a GPS Use basic tools to disassemble and reassemble furniture as needed Effective communication skills required Able to pass a drug test Work days and hours vary by customer demand Rain-or-shine work Personal Requirements: Physically fit & well-groomed Punctual Dependable Common sense and ability to problem solve Good character Positive attitude Team player Enjoy helping others
