Ruben Fernandez, 47, was originally indicted for murder in 1995, three months after he was accused of shooting the victim in the parking lot of a Midtown fast-food restaurant, and has been at large ever since. Police Chief Michael Kerle said Anchorage detectives recently received new information that led to Fernandez's arrest by U.S. Marshals in late February. He is currently being held on $500,000 bail at the Anchorage Correctional Complex.
