WORCESTER, MA — Worcester police arrested two 15-year-olds at Sunday's St. Patrick's Day parade after the teens attempted to rob a man using a pellet gun.
The incident happened just before 2 p.m. a short distance east of the parade route near the Clark University campus. Police said one of the teens punched and kicked a man while demanding money. One of the teens had what appeared to be a handgun, police said.
Police later saw the two teens standing near Downing Street and Park Avenue. One of them was carrying a pellet gun designed to look like a handgun.
Both teens were arrested on charges of attempted armed robbery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, according to Worcester police.
