JAFFREY, NH — The New Hampshire Attorney General's Office, state police, and Jaffrey police are investigating a homicide of a man Saturday.
Police were sent to a home on Peterborough St early this morning to investigate the death. The victim is was identified as Jake Seaburg, 23 of Acton, MA
An autopsy was conducted on Seaburg by Deputy Chief Medical Examiner Mitchell Weinberg. Dr. Weinberg determined that the cause of Mr. Seaburg's death was a stab wound to the chest and that the manner of death was homicide.
Both the attorney general's office and Jaffrey Police Chief Todd Muilenberg, on Facebook, said there was no evidence to suggest there was a threat to the general public.
"We will release further information when possible but we wanted our citizens to know that they are safe and a full investigation is underway," Muilenberg said.
This is the second suspicious death in Jaffrey this year. Earlier this year a man was killed and then later beheaded.
New Hampshire Patch will update this story when more information becomes available.
