Volcano Builders, Inc. A boutique General Contracting Firm is looking for experienced Sub-Contractors to perform a wide range of construction projects from start to finish. You will meet with the project manager/sales consultant, to review the prospective project and expect the project manager to negotiate on behalf of the clients. A subcontractor must be able to ensure the project is completed in a timely and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and openness to learning, will be in charge of disposing of and recycling waste, have knowledge of masonry, carpentry, framing, plumbing, Electrician, Tile, flooring, and construction. ***Responsibilities*** - Contractor license, Bond, And liability insurance - Collaborate with the Project Managers, engineers, architects, designers, etc. to determine the specifications of the project - Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations - Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met - Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies - Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports - Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues - Valid driver's license and insured vehicle are required - Vehicle required - Subcontractors have to comply with the terms of the contract as well. They are held accountable for their work by the -project manager and the customer. - Punctuality and minimal time off is essential. - Frequent communication between the subcontractor and project manager helps to avoid problems down the road. - They should be flexible and willing to adjust to policy and procedure changes. - They must complete projects by their due dates and stay within a predetermined budget. High-quality work is important - because it reflects on them as well as the general contractor. ***Skills*** - Knowledge and experience in a Construction firm - Proven experience as a contractor - In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles - Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards - Good knowledge of MS Office - Outstanding communication - Excellent organizational and time-management skills
