Description

Nicholas Grimshae, at 80, received the Royal Gold Medal awarded on behalf of Her Majesty by the RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) not for just one outstanding architectural project, but for a body of work that continues to this day. And talk about a body of work, one that has contributed substantially to architecture all over the world! Nicholas is the architect who designed such diverse projects as the Waterloo Railway Station in London, the Zurich Airport expansion, and the Experimental Media & Performing Arts Center in Troy, New York, among many others. No big surprise, as a child, Nicholas loved playing with Meccano Erector Sets, building all sorts of his own creations. For more Amazings, go to https://www.Facebook.com/MeetTheAmazings.
