Did you know that Forbes Library offers a weekly meetup to play chess? Drop in anytime between 1pm-3pm weekly on Wednesdays to join. Please bring your own chess set & timer if possible! The library has several available but having extras ensures that everybody who shows up can play. Masks still required as of 3/14. This is an informal, non-competitive gathering with an emphasis on fun & socializing, and we welcome every skill level: whether you're a complete beginner looking to learn the rules or a FIDE-rated lifelong player, we'd like to play with you! A weekday afternoon is a tough time for many people, and with it getting warmer out maybe it's a good time to think about playing together in a park or somewhere outdoors on a time that works for others too.
