The Facilities Maintenance Technician is a hands-on position focusing on the upkeep of our production facilities and beer garden. Tasks will range from changing out light bulbs to oiling the bleachers in our tasting room to installing copper glycol piping and everything in between. They will coordinate maintenance with various department heads and must be able to communicate effectively. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Essential Responsibilities: • Work in adherence to all safety protocols and promote a safety-first culture. • Maintain interior and exteriors of both Fremont Brewing facilities including all production, retail, and office areas. • Assist all departments with preventative maintenance and equipment breakdowns as needed. Includes all brewing and packaging equipment. • Perform daily checks on facility equipment such as chillers, boilers, air compressors, etc. • Understand basic facilities and infrastructure including chillers, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical. Perform preventative maintenance as scheduled and make repairs as necessary. • Assist with new equipment installation and capital projects. • Work with outside contractors on maintenance issues. • Coordinate with department heads on needed maintenance. • Assist other departments with non-maintenance tasks as necessary to get the job done! Required Skills and Qualifications • 3+ years in a maintenance or facilities role • Previous experience in a brewery strongly preferred • Previous experience with packaging equipment strongly preferred • Strong knowledge of building systems including chillers, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, steam boilers • Strong mechanical knowledge of packaging equipment, pumps, conveyors, motors, compressors, etc. • Ability to work days and evenings and some weekends as required. • Must possess a positive, can-do mentality • Strong communication skills and the ability to positively engage with others • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment • A desire to learn and grow as a professional in our industry • A love of beer and working in a fun team-oriented environment • A great sense of humor and the ability to laugh at oneself • A keen sense of the difference between awesomeness and not awesomeness • Competence in Microsoft Office and/or similar applications Physical Requirements • Standing for long periods of time (up to 10 hours per day). • Ability to move heavy materials (lifting to 55 lbs., moving up to 160 lbs.) • Climbing ladders in accordance with safety protocols • Ability to leap tall buildings in a single bound • Routine pushing, pulling, reaching, stooping, climbing, bending • Ability to work in hot and cold environments Fremont Brewing offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, a dynamic and rewarding work environment and growth for dedicated and committed employees.
