[Trigger Warning] SA Feel like the world's got problems? Be part of the solution! With great power comes great responsibility, and we all have power inside us. The "Astrals" is an anonymous lawful (not vigilantes) crime prevention and community service group starting out of Savannah, Georgia. They work closely with city officials and police to expose assault and corruption, and act as a more personal liaison between victims who wish to anonymously report crimes. They collect anonymous testimonies and report crimes to the police without the victim's identity. The Astrals use the public imagery of superheroes to protect their identities and help victims feel comfortable. If you've heard of the "real life superhero" movement, this is akin to that, but that title is not preferred by the Astrals. A branch of the Astrals (sanctioned by the original) has been started in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and members are wanted. This is NOT paid work. We are looking for members, both public/with costumed identities, or behind the scenes helpers. Any special skills are encouraged, all talents are extremely valuable. This is for those who wish to give back to the community and have some fun doing it. For ages 18+ only, college or recent grad age encouraged. Other activities other than those stated above include supply handouts to houseless people around Ann Arbor. If you have a "superhero" identity in mind, we could use you!
