I've had this ad in previously, I/we want to be as specific & informative as possible. It's definitely meant for quality over quantity. It's back in now because 1 time slot has opened up. Please keep reading for more info! Drummers take a look & please keep reading each bit of info so long as it fits your situation. If you get all way to the end, if all looks & sounds good you just may be who we're looking for & we're very likely to be what you seek. 1. We have 1 jam (audition, I hate that word) spot for Sun mid Morn Mar 20 that will encompass 5 songs. That's it that's the only spot we have. We hope to fill this slot & then choose from the guys that came in. The auditions will be concluded that same day mid aft. Win or lose the job we'll inform you that afternoon. You'd have then 2 weeks to learn the existing 36 song Set List & you'd need to be avail for rehearsal's from appx 12:30pm to 5pm on Sat Apr 2nd, Sat Apr 9th & possibly either Sun Apr 3rd or 10th depending on your leaning curve. We'll be off Easter weekend but there are gigs on the 23rd, 30th & beyond. This gives you 2 weeks at home to learn the list & from 2 to 4 full rehearsals with the band to get up to speed. If you can do this please read on! 2. We are a very established rock/rockin blues 5 member band (4 on stage & a dedicated Sound Engineer/Stage Mgr). All four of the rest of us have been together in excess of 5 years so a very experienced outfit it is. All pro gear, all pro attitudes, all the bells & whistles along with shit tons of fun. So if being a part of a very cohesive group interests you without the revolving door & where your voice will be heard because we're not just looking for a drummer, we're looking for a band mate then please read on. 3. If you're of an age say 50+ where "Classic Rock" is ingrained with in you from Southern Rockers like ZZ Top, Skynyrd, Black Crowes, Molly Hatchett, etc.. along with English rock/blues artists like Deep Purple, Clapton, Trower as well as even some 80/90's acts like STP, Bush, Collective Soul & many more spanning the 60's & moving forward. We are also a recorded artist as well so we have 2 all original albums out so a number of these original songs are mixed into our shows. Now if you aren't say of the age I mentioned that's OK maybe your just an old soul in a young body but we are definitely seeking someone who really likes artist's we've mentioned & the like therefore if that's you then by all means read on. 4. If you play in multiple bands more power to you but that's not who we're looking for. Even though we don't play all the time because of a large selection of our covers not just being standards & 2 albums worth of originals we're seeking someone that wants & has time but for one band. We want to be rehearsed, we don't want to compete with other bands for personnel. If the thought of a very ideal 1 band only place you can call home with some great guys/musicians scenario is floating in your head please read on. 5. We get paid (better than many & maybe not as much as some others) but this is not how you'll make your monetary living. We avg 2 to 4 shows per month with the target number being 3 (though in most cases it's 2). Once we've put in the time rehearsing, bonding & have you up & running shows are already booked. Afterwards we'll then typically rehearse once a month. This allows us to keep moving some songs & keep things rolling. We'll in almost all cases look to have 1 weekend off per month. The shows would typically either be a Fri nite, Sat nite or Sun aft/early eve. We'd play but 1 show per weekend hence the 2 to 4 avg. (in the case of a 5 weekend month). This allows you still some family time but make no mistake life does revolve around the band not the other way around because it is so fluid. If you're cool with this keep reading. 6. We have a great rehearsal facility in the lower NE part of town with a 5pc acoustic kit in play so no lugging drums. Rehearsals are in most all cases Saturday aft typically from 12ish to 4 or 5ish. There are occasions where we move it to Sunday. We kick around ideas, we play music, we'll have a few beers, every other time or so we'll do pizza or something. We're looking for a band-mate not just a drummer. If you're good with this please read on. That's pretty thorough for one of these ads & some of the last bit of info you'll need is that each member & the band as well has a social media presence if for nothing else but to be able to advertise the band. That will be expected of you as well. Also when we talk at your fingertips will be plenty of pics, video, live & studio work to establish our bonafides we'd expect that you as well would have some stuff for us to quickly review.
