This is a full time year-round salaried position. 40 -45 hours during the mowing season and 35-40 hours during the off season with a potential for snow bonus pay. Salary to be paid every 2 weeks. Paid Time Off accrued up to 2 weeks annually with 10 paid holidays throughout the year. Full Job Description Lawn Maintenance Foreman The Foreman is responsible for performing a variety of daily work tasks in order to manage the timely completion of lawn service contracts. Foreman will supervise a small crew and operate a variety of tools and equipment to carry out daily tasks and assigned work. FOREMAN WILL MAINLY RUN A CREW OF 3 TOTAL CREW MEMBERS TO COMMERCIAL AND RESIDENTIAL PROPERTIES AND COMPLETE THE MOWING, TRIMMING AND BLOWING OF PROPERTIES ON A WEEKLY BASIS. Responsible for managing the equipment to include mowers, hand held machines, truck and trailer. Essential Qualifications: -Customer and quality focus -Attention to detail -Effective communication skills (both verbal and written) -Team work -Excellent problem solving abilities -Integrity on and off the job Job Duties: -Setup the daily equipment as needed in the mornings. Breakdown as needed in the evenings. -Manage mow schedule in a timely manner with available staff -Mow turf, trim edges, blow trimmings, fertilize and water turf areas and perform other lawn care duties -Operate various other lawn maintenance equipment as needed. -Inspect work output from other staff members through supervision and leading by example. -Instruct and train crews as necessary on safety and operation of equipment. -Maintain professionalism at all times with other staff and customer. Requirements: -Ability to legally work in the United States -Minimum 2 years’ experience in the landscape/grounds maintenance industry -Experience operating lawn equipment of all brands. -Ability to manage personal time as well as time of the other staff members -Core knowledge of Landscape Maintenance techniques. -Ability to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical tasks -Valid driver’s license and safe driving record Work Conditions: -During the season it will be fast paced and repetitive. Weekly mowing on the same properties. -Long hours in the winter during snow events. Schedule: · Monday to Friday Supplemental Pay: · Snow bonus offered above the weekly salary
