We seek hardworking, energetic individuals who love to work outdoors and take pride in their work. Since 2006 we have provided residential clients with landscape design, installation, and maintenance services. We currently have positions available in both installation and maintenance. LANDSCAPE INSTALLATION CREW LEADER > JOB TITLE | Landscape Installation Crew Leader > EMPLOYMENT TYPE | Seasonal (April 1st through Late December) with the opportunity to join our snow operations > SCHEDULE | 40+, Overtime hours during peak season. Work Hours 7:30 am to 5:30 pm M-F some Saturdays during peak season. (*Actual end time may vary day to day based on project) > PAY | Starting $25.00 per hour + Time and a Half after 40 hours worked each week. > PAY PERIOD | Weekly Paycheck every Friday > BENEFITS | Earned Paid Time Off, Sick Days, and Paid Holidays. Advancement Opportunities: Operations Manager > DAILY JOBS | Residential - Site Grading and Prep, Plantings, Turf Sod, Paver Patio/Walks, Retaining Walls, Drainage Solutions, Low Voltage Lighting, Etc. MINIMUM 4 YEARS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FURTHER JOB DESCRIPTION 1. Position Description: The Landscape Installation Crew Leader must be thoroughly familiar with all aspects of landscape installation to include operating equipment, demolition, site, and soil prep, grading, planting all materials, interfacing with clients, subcontractors, architects, etc., and require minimal supervision while directing a crew of two to four employees safely. The Landscape Installation Crew Leader must also attend to and complete all paperwork and administrative requirements related to the job while creating and maintaining a professional job atmosphere. 2. The Landscape Installation Crew Leader reports directly to the Owner. 3. Skill Set and Educational Requirements: The Landscape Installation Crew Leader, who is a working crew member, must possess the following skillset and education background: a. Minimum of a high school diploma or GED. b. Possess a valid driver’s license and must be insurable on the company’s insurance policy. c. Physically able to handle the workload of an Install Leadman and Laborer. d. Bilingual in Spanish and English in oral and written forms. e. Willing to train for and become a certified landscape technician (CLT), if not already. f. Able to interact with customers professionally and courteously daily. 4. Responsibilities: a. A minimum of Four Years of experience in Landscape Installation. b. Thoroughly understands all aspects of landscape installation as outlined above. c. Able to operate company equipment: skid steer, mini-excavator, mini-skid steer, tracked loader, brick saws, etc. d. Able to perform all daily preventative maintenance (PM) on company equipment. e. Able to operate transit, shoot grades, and grade sites. f. Able to read landscape plans and drawings. g. Able to layout a job site and order materials. h. Has the leadership capability and demeanor to manage and direct a two to four-person crew effectively. i. Meets or exceeds company productivity standards for landscape installation. j. Ensures that jobs are kept on schedule and budget. k. Ensures that all safety procedures are followed and reports any unsafe conditions to supervisors. l. Ensures all workers’ compensation insurance claims are properly documented and reported immediately. m. Ensures all accidents are appropriately documented and reported immediately. n. Looks for extras and converts them into change orders when appropriate. o. Ensures all change orders are processed correctly. p. Interfaces with subcontractors to ensure timely and accurate completion of their phase of projects. q. Interfaces with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of job materials. r. Ensures that company production standards are met. s. Maintains a clean crew truck at all times. t. Able to fill out and process all necessary job paperwork, purchase orders, timesheets, etc. u. Able to interact with clients, subcontractors, architects, etc., professionally and competently. v. Able to train crew as a team and maintain a high level of morale. w. Ensures that job cost reports are correctly analyzed. x. Thoroughly understands and complies with company policies, procedures, and SOPs. y. Able to work with minimal supervision from the Owner but knows when to ask for assistance. z. Willing to train and become certified in CPR and first aid, if not already. 5. Salary, Bonus, and commissions: Commensurate with experience (Starting $25.00 per hour). 6. Appraisal criteria: The primary appraisal criteria for the Landscape Installation Crew Leader is to perform all landscape tasks safely with minimal supervision while meeting or exceeding company production standards and maintaining a high level of crew morale. ---- POSITION WILL FILL FAST APPLY TODAY! ----
