Young kitten & her mom showed up to my home a few weeks ago. (We live Ocklawaha/Ocala forest) Mom left kitten and never came back. She has been in my care now for 2 weeks. She was very skinny but has been eating & gaining weight. She uses the litter box with no issues, is very friendly with my other cat and pups, but she is very afraid of humans and hisses often. It is possible that she was born in the woods and doesn’t know humans. She needs a lot of time and patience. She is a very beautiful cat but may need to be shaved here and there as she has a lot of mats in her undercoat from living in the woods & she has been pulling some of them out when cleaning herself. She appears to be healthy but will need to see a vet as we have not taken her to one. We are looking for the right owner for her. And yes, there is a rehoming fee to ensure she gets a proper home.
