DO NOT PUT DOWN A DEPOSIT (PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, etc.) ON AN ANIMAL UNTIL YOU SEE IT IN PERSON FIRST!!! IF YOU CANNOT MEET IN THEM AT THEIR HOUSE, DO NOT GIVE THEM CASH There are many scammers on CL and many people are losing their hard earned money! LOOK FOR (read below and see highlighted photos for details): Grammar, multiple punctuation errors, highly granulated picture(s), only one or two or no photos shown (there should be a minimum of 3 photos!), “TitLe ThAT LoOks LiKe THis,” a direct (misspelled) g- mail, no location within the parentheses, and “501,” “301,” etc. numbers as their contact! Also note that these scammers are getting creative! They will tell you a story that sounds good and realistic BUT WILL NOT LET YOU CALL THEM DIRECTLY (YOU WILL ALWAYS GET VOICEMAIL). They will even mention that they work for the government!
