DUPAGE COUNTY, IL —As of Tuesday, the DuPage County Health Department (DCHD) reports 8,223 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus and 409 deaths. The numbers include 70 new cases since Monday. County officials say the number of positive cases is "likely much higher" due to cases that are "unreported or untested." County health officials said five coronavirus-related deaths were reported since Monday. The DCHD did not include information about where those who died had been living or whether she had underlying conditions. They are: A woman in her 60s A woman in her 70s A man in his 70s Two men in their 80s The news comes as cases in Illinois reach 129,212. The statewide death toll from coronavirus was at 6,018 as of Tuesday, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health. According to the county's breakdown, the majority of cases have affected those between the ages of 40 and 70, but all age ranges had confirmed cases.
