A conversation with Bill Brett and some of Boston's leading journalists to benefit the proposed Dorchester Field House. (04.10.2022) Join acclaimed photographer Bill Brett for an afternoon event to benefit the construction of the Dorchester Field House. The afternoon of conversation will feature Bill with emcee WBZ NewsRadio 1030’s Jordan Rich trading Boston stories with some of the city’s best journalists: CBS Boston anchor Lisa Hughes; NBC10 anchor Latoyia Edwards; and WBZ NewsRadio’s “NightSide” host Dan Rea. The $50 ticket includes a free copy of Bill’s sixth book, “Boston: Game Changers” and cookies and desserts from Montilio’s Bakery. (There will be a cash bar.) The event will be held on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at Florian Hall, 55 Hallet St., Dorchester. Free, on-site parking. Come out for a fun afternoon, hear some great stories, and support an amazing cause that will forever transform Dorchester’s Columbia Point. WHAT: A benefit for the proposed Dorchester Field House, a 75,000-square-foot-facility on Mount Vernon Street in Dorchester’s Columbia Point neighborhood that will include turf fields, indoor courts, walking track, a theater performance space, teaching kitchen, community meeting space, and an outdoor café. The project is led by the Martin Richard Foundation and Boys & Girls Clubs of Dorchester. The construction is estimated at $50M dollars.
