Driver, 20, Dies In Lisle Crash

LISLE, IL — A 20-year-old died early Sunday after a two-vehicle crash at Warrenville and Naperville roads, police said. A witness told police that a Tesla was traveling at a high rate of speed when it went through a red light and struck a Jeep as the Jeep driver was attempting to make a left turn onto eastbound Warrenville Road on a green turn arrow. The 20-year-old Tesla driver was trapped inside the vehicle and died at the scene, police said. The driver's name has not been released. The 34-year-old Jeep driver was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The crash remains under investigation. Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to call 630-271-4200.
