LONDONDERRY, NH — A Londonderry couple and their newborn are all doing well after their baby was delivered on the side of Interstate 93 Monday. At just before 9:30 p.m., New Hampshire State Police dispatch received a 911 call from a man reporting that his wife was having their baby in Manchester while parked off to the north side of the Interstate. Troopers and Manchester Fire and Rescue teams headed to the area and found the vehicle — but by the time they arrived, the father, John Swope, had helped his wife, Camille, deliver their new son, Miles.
"At the time, they were on their way to the Elliot Hospital but Miles did not want to wait that long," said Lt. Bryan Trask of Troop B. "Mom, dad and Miles were transported by ambulance to the Elliot Hospital and all are doing well."
