Once we have begun, where do we take that practice? How do we grow with our practice? How does our practice transform itself and each of us individually on our path? Building a Lifelong Devotional Practice has been transformative in strengthening the connections to the Morrigan for this presenter. Join Karen for a practical and comprehensive look at what devotional practice has taught her personally, and how she has learned to create and strengthen a connection to the divine in her daily life. This workshop class will discuss personal devotional practice with deity. Examples of personal prayer and offering practices will be demonstrated and discussed. Personal experiences and group discussion in connecting with deity, “Walking the Talk” and “Doing the Work”. This class will end with each participant creating their own outline for growing their personal devotional practice with the Morrigan. Writing & Using Prayers in a Devotional Practice Workshop Pagans avoid using the "p" word. For many of us it's a concept we have rejected along with the religions we grew up in. Yet prayer is a meaningful way to commune and connect with the divine. It is something found in all religions, and we even have some great examples left to us from the Pagans of the past. Let’s explore what prayer means in a modern Pagan context as well as learn the steps to creating our own prayers. We will also look at how this can be part of an evolving devotional practice with the Morrigan. About the Authors: Stephanie Woodfield has been a practicing Pagan for the past twenty years. A devotional polytheist, teacher, and Priestess of the Morrigan, she is one of the founding members of Morrigu's Daughters and is an organizer for several Pagan gatherings. A long time New Englander, she now resides in the Orlando area with her husband, a very pampered cat, and various reptiles. She is called to helping others forge meaningful experiences with the Morrigan, as well as the Gods and land of Ireland. Karen Storminger is a member of the Tuatha de Morrigan group, active in the Connecticut Wiccan and Pagan Network and a devotee of The Morrigan. She is always evolving within her role as a Priestess of Badb. Karen is a teacher, healing practitioner and writer in her daily life.
