Roughly 30 Percent Of Delco Coronavirus Tests Come Back Positive

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Coronavirus figures in Delaware County released today show nearly 30 percent of coronavirus tests come back positive in the county. Updated data reported online Wednesday shows to date the county has seen 6,736 negative test results. However, Wednesday's data shows 2,798 positive cases in the county. In total, 9,535 people have been tested in Delaware County based on Wednesday's figures. Broken down, that shows 29.34 percent of tests have come back positive. Conversely, 70.64 tests have come back negative. Wednesday's data shows an addition 19 deaths related to the virus, bringing the county's total to 124. Of the 2,789 cases, the 124 deaths make up 4.43 percent, as of Wednesday. Men account for 43.46 percent of cases and women account for 54.75 percent of cases; gender has not been identified for 1.79 percent of cases.
