MissionOur purpose for holding the La Mesa Juneteenth and Friends 2022 celebration, located at MacArthur park, La Mesa, California, on Sunday, June 19th, 2022, is to bring our community together to understand the history that brought us together. To help strengthen our community by raising awareness of the Juneteenth jubilee and sharing the important historical significance. We want to provide a family orientated celebration with participation from our local businesses, educators, writers, churches, city leaders, and performers in the La Mesa and surrounding areas. Save the Date!Join us on June 19th from 11:30 AM to 4:00 PM. This celebration is open to everyone! Family Fun ActivitiesThis event will include food, art, music, history, dance, crafts, and family fun. A full list of vendors and activities will be included soon! Support this Inaugural Event!This La Mesa Juneteenth and Friends celebration is a grassroots community effort to bring the rich heritage, culture, and fun of Juneteenth to La Mesa, East County and the wider San Diego region. It cannot be done without enthusiastic community members.
