The Opening Reception for the Soul Food & Superheroes art show by Therosia Soul Food & Superheroes is an art show created by Therosia, an Arizona based visual and vocal artist. The show centers on honoring the superhuman service of social justice servants of the past and present by reimaging them as the superheroes that they are. The concurrent message of the shoe is that People of Color have done double, and in some cases, triple the work for centuries. There is a season of rest that is needed for healing. The opening reception will introduce this work to the public and kick off the month long showing. In this show, Therosia seeks to showcase the work that has already been done and offer gratitude.
