Please join us for painting and decorating birdhouses in time for Spring! We'll learn a variety of fun techniques using several materials! We will have a variety of painting techniques to choose from using acrylic and "chalk acrylic" paints to create the looks of distressed wood, as well as the use of crackle glaze. Chalk acrylic paints have a pretty matte finish that is perfect for wood and furniture. We will also use laser cut wood embellishments, stencils, chalk acrylic paste (for use with stencils to create a raised design) and simple mandala dot painting techniques. All supplies included, including one 5.5" x 4.6" x 8.9" birdhouse (the size of the hole may make this a more decorative birdhouse than functional, with the exception of very small birds such as finches). If you have your own dot mandala tools, please bring them. I will have some for sharing. I do recommend picking up a set on Amazon (search for "mandala dotting tools").
