LISLE, IL — A man jumped from a third floor window to escape armed robbers in a Lisle apartment late Sunday, according to police. Police say the man had been invited to a party at the apartment in the 4600 block of Lake Valley Drive by a woman he met on social media. The man told police that once he got to the apartment, just before 11:30 p.m., he was confronted by several men who hit him with a pistol and demanded his money and cell phone. The men also demanded that the victim invite a friend. While they were waiting for the victim's friend to arrive, the victim jumped from a window to safety and alerted Lisle police. Police say he sustained an ankle injury after he jumped. Members of the Lisle Police Department and DuPage Metro SWAT executed a search warrant just after 7 a.m., and police say more details are expected soon.
