Once-incarcerated Marcus Cowans (Omar Epps) is trying to turn over a new leaf with the support of his loving family. Upon discovering that one of his brothers (Will Catlett) may have been involved in a horrific crime, Marcus grapples with the limits of brotherhood and loyalty. He and his family, increasingly weary of the justice system’s failings, end up in the crosshairs of a seasoned but jaded detective (Michael Ealy). "The Devil You Know" was witten and directed by Gary native, Charles Murray, Murray, a graduate of Gary Roosevelt High School class of '83 is a Hollywood veteran with scores of credits to his name. Murray has written, and Executive Produced major television series, including Sons of Anarchy, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and Luke Cage. Most recently, Murray served as showrunner for the Netflix limited series True Story starring Kevin Hart and Wesley Snipes and set up Blood Brothers – an eight-episode limited series with A&E Studios that chronicled the fated friendship between Muhammed Ali and Malcolm X.
