TAMPA, FL — A 20-year-old Tampa man was killed Saturday after he was struck by an SUV while crossing Interstate 75 Saturday morning.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 5:35 a.m., the man was traveling south on Interstate 75 in a 2018 Fiat when he struck the rear of a Peterbilt tractor-trailer truck.
Both the Fiat and truck stopped along the shoulder of the highway. The driver of the Fiat got out of his car and attempted to cross the highway on foot when he was struck by a 2010 Toyota SUV driven by a 25-year-old Riverview man.
