Russia has been banned from using SWIFT* to transfer money except regarding energy. Why only energy? Because most of Western Europe relies on Russian energy imports. Most of what Europe imports from Russia is liquified natural gas for home heating, diesel for powering trains and trucks and gasoline. The backbone of the Russian economy is oil shipped to Europe. If there is any hope of ending Putin and the Russian quest for world domination, the West needs to stop ALL imports of Russian energy. Not just the US, but all Western nations. Those of us with the resources need to step up and replace, to a bare existence level, energy imported by Western Europe from Russia. Collectively, the US, Canada, Mexico, and other nations, have the resources to supply them.
