………After a short while, Judy returned with a warm muffin and that’s it. Really?! A coffee and warm muffin? What kind of breakfast is that! She could have gotten that anywhere so why did she come here. Was I overreacting? Maybe. But something about this whole thing is just rubbing me wrong. I tried to ignore her and get back to my reading but it was so hard. Her, sitting there with her book and her muffin and her light and sweet coffee. While my special time is totally ruined, I told myself that Things will be back to normal next week and this will all be a forgotten memory. Gathering my things, my morning totally ruined, I get up and leave. The following week, as I walk up the the dinner door, all I can think of is things will be back to normal. Everything will be normal and perfect. And as expected, it was. Everything played out as it was suppose to, step by lovely step. With everyone here, I relax with my reading. The only thing that still haunts me was something I did even realize till this moment. “Her” in a bit of a dissect way, was looking back at me. I don’t know why I didn’t notice at the time. Maybe I was just so utterly blinded by the situation that I hadn’t processed it. Her eyes, those amazing blues eyes had looked right at me. They looked at me more then once and it was more then just a glance. What was she thinking? What could she have possibly been thinking! Curious to the reason why, it didn’t really matter because she was gone. Never to be seen again. Smiling, the words today seem much sweeter. The coffee, more savory. The cushion of the booth, a little softer. I glance over, past the counter to see a selection of muffins under a glass dome. The muffin that will stay there. Never to be eaten again. Well….at least I’m my presence. Unfortunately, To my totally shock and surprise. halfway though our special time, my special time, the door opens…………
