Press release from Waukee Community School District: Mar 11, 2022 At last night's meeting, the Board approved the recommendation of Waterford Elementary as the name for the district's elementary #11. The new elementary will open in 2024 and be located on 156th Street in Urbandale, in the northeast corner of our district. The schematic design and design development were approved as presented by FRK architects and engineers at the Board meeting on January 24, 2022.  The floor plan layout for the school remains unchanged from the previous elementary school, including the additional classrooms added at the kindergarten wing. Construction will begin this summer. We are excited about the continued growth in our district, and we look forward to serving all the students and families that will be part of Waterford Elementary!   This press release was produced by Waukee Community School District.
