18 Coronavirus Cases Confirmed In Monrovia As Of Wednesday

LOS ANGELES, CA — There are now 7,559 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus in Los Angeles County, including 285 in Long Beach and 80 in Pasadena, which each have their own public health departments, health officials announced Wednesday. Health officials also announced 30 new deaths of COVID-19, bringing the county total to 199. Of the 7,559 confirmed cases, 732 are still under investigation. County health officials are urging against any outings this week and noted that everyone should wear cloth face coverings when interacting with others while obtaining or providing essential supplies and services, the L.A. County Department of Public Health news release said. "Our hearts go out to every family who has experienced loss related to this COVID-19 pandemic," Director of Public Health Barbara Ferrer said. "I want to acknowledge that for many residents, this week represents some of the holiest days of your faith traditions and the inability to fellowship in familiar ways makes celebrating this year particularly difficult. We are grateful to all the accommodations being made to allow people to connect spiritually, while remaining physically distant."
