Well established lawn maintenance company in the Livonia area is seeking one, possibly two experienced, self motivated, hardworking, conscientious and detail oriented individuals to join our four person cutting team this summer and help with snow removal next winter. The current position we are hiring for is mainly whipping, edging and blowing. Some mowing at times is possible as you become more acquainted with our yards so experience with a walk behind, stand on and zero turn riders is helpful. May possibly train the right person (quick learner) who wants to learn. The right individual(s) must have a good work ethic, good attitude and be able to work well with others as well as independently and unsupervised with the weekly lawn route being completed in a timely, professional and quality manner without the boss hovering over you or having to go back fixing mistakes repeatedly. You will be working for an owner operated company so if this is an issue I completely understand. The reason I mention this is the fact that there is nowhere to hide here. There's no just going through the motions and shaking your head/answering yes when asked if something was done that wasn't with no accountability. We normally work Monday- Friday from 8:00 am to 5 ish (times may vary sometimes do to weather as we don't cut in the rain) with some Saturdays if the weather doesn't cooperate during the week. I always have extra work available if you want more hours for the weekend. Our schedule is pretty straight forward (cutting 30+ residential homes) and can be easily completed each day if everyone brings their A game and works as a team doing their part to complete the daily schedule. That means getting to work on time, being prepared for the day and pausing all your problem/life issues when you get in the work truck. We all have issues, problems and just cause someone owns a business or they're your boss doesn't mean they can't relate to your issues or are necessarily rich. They probably just have better credit then you along with more patience and no social life. We stop for lunch around 12:30-1 pm. at a local eatery or you can also bring your own lunch. We are based out of the Livonia area at 8 mile and Merriman area. Ideally candidates would have a valid driver's license but in the event you don't and are close by I may be able to meet up with you in the general vicinity.
