Douglasville GA
Description
Thats RIGHT! You read that correctly and this is not a dream...but this could be your dream job. We are an outfit of Playground Installers and we are looking to expand our small team, and if you're an ideal candidate for the position, future work is guaranteed! Despite the job the title, Playground Installation is NOT FOR PLAY PLAY. This is hard work. It involves digging big holes in the ground and more often than not, multiple big holes in the ground. It entails lifting 80lb bags of concrete and then mixing it in a wheel barrel, and more often than not, we DO NOT use the mixing machines for training or breaking in new boots. We get it out the mud and mulch...literally. We work minimal 8 hour days, lunch is one hour and it is a paid break. During the HOTLANTA summers, we take two 15 minute breaks after every 2 hours of consistent labor and these breaks are paid as well. We offer cold juices and water on hot days because hydration is an important factor and we enforce safety measures, RELIGIOUSLY! We are a Gender Neutral Business, we hire Men and Women and do not discriminate! We provide an open and diverse work environment, and have room for anybody that can make the cut. As briefly mentioned, this is hard outside work, and I WILL NOT sugar coat this even in the slightest. The last thing I want anyone to be under the impression of is this being "easy work." Me, personally, I find the work to come with EASE. Hence the title...GET PAID TO GET IN SHAPE! I do not come to work, to work. I come to work to work out...and get paid DAMN good for it! My job is my gym...this is my Planet Fitness! And if you believe you got what it takes...this can be your world too. There is nothing that I will EVER ask anyone to do, that I myself, have not done and more often than not, I'm right along side of you in them trenches. I've seen 6' plus tall, 200lb plus MEN get PUNISHED by 30 yards of mulch. Never came back. People have faked Covid to avoid Mulch Mondays! This work is not cut out for everyone. I know how it is, and in the first two hours...so will you. Other than that, if you're still reading at this point, you just passed the first test. A lot of people these days see a bunch of words put together in sentences and break out into cold sweats and short circuit. Mental acuity is paramount in life in general, but especially in the Playground industry and this line of work. The most precious cargo on this planet, is in your hands, and it is your job to make sure that everything you do will be tested and measured with a Childs life at risk. Children can be hurt due to an installers negligence or lack of proper care in the performance of their duties, and thats the last thing you want riding on your conscience is to bring harm or injury to someones child. This is serious business, therefore we have a Zero BS Tolerance Policy. We do work all over GA, and in the near future we will be venturing into out of town work, which then room/ board/ and travel expense incurred will be covered. Until then, there is work in GA and unfortunately its all scattered all over the place and sometimes the commute can be up to 1.5 hour drive. For these times, your drive time is considered a part of your hourly. We ask that those who apply to have their own transportation, but as previously stated, we do not discriminate. If you have stable transportation through someone else; a friend, uber/ lift, family member, etc, we invite you to apply as well. As long as you get here, we don't care how you come...sky dive in if thats your thing. With that being said, if you feel like you're the right fit for the role, we are Park Stars Play Tech, and we invite you to apply!
