At the request of a woman who was scammed, I am reposting the add that “drew her in” and led to her loss of deposit. No matter what a seller/ breeder might say—no matter what excuse they may give you—please don’t send anyone a deposit. These scammers throw ads into CL sites across the country. Some of them ask for a “small $50 deposit”—-but think about that: if just one person from every state in which they plant their ad sends the $50, they will have enough to pay their rent and more. If a seller asks you “where are you located?” Or “what puppies are you interested in” thats a sure sign they have multiple scam ads running in multiple states. Oftentimes there are no puppies…and there never have been puppies. They use photos they find online, and “sell” you puppies that they don’t own.
