MISSION VIEJO, CA — One year ahead of the next summer olympics, Mission Viejo Nadadores Swim Club announces the addition of a new super star. Justina Kozan joins the Nadadores as a "top recruit in the class of 2022," Swimming World says. She has made the switch from BREA Aquatics, to swim for March Schubert of the Mission Viejo Nadadores. The Nadadores were among the first teams back in the water under new guidelines from USA Swimming. Kozan won gold at the 2019 World Juniors in the 200 IM, 4x200 Freestyle Relay. Last year, she ranked as the 7th in the United States in the 200 IM and 22nd in the Freestyle, according to Swimming World Magazine. During the coronavirus pandemic, Mission Viejo's Nadadores are swimming under strict social distancing guidelines. At the pool, swimmers come in one at a time, Schubert told Swimming World. Each swimmer works out in the center of their 9-foot lane, and each one leaves, one at a time.
