Half malamute/half german shephard in need of new home

Junior (aka Junebug) is half malamute, half german shephard fixed male in need of new home. Changes in the finances are making it difficult to be able to continue to care for him. He is super sweet with the coloring of a german shephard but the fur, size and personality characteristic of a malamute. Between 7 and 10 years old, he does have some back problems that flare up from time to time and require regular checkups that I can no longer afford to keep up with. His two favorite places in the house are the kitchen and laying right in front of the main door, acting like a large door stop. He gets along well with other animals and kids, though a home with older children would be better, due to his back issues. He can be food aggressive with other animals, but mainly only growling to let them know he has claimed it.
