The exact same things were said when the Irish immigrated here during the potato famine. Or the Polish & Italians. Or to disallow Jews from Nazi Germany. Not even the most hateful could truthfully deny the enormous contribution the Italians, Irish, Polish and Jewish peoples have had on this land. Your argument lacks merit and denies the historical fact that the only reason we are not a Great Britain protectorate today is because of immigrants. Washington was clearly a lack luster general (in terms of battle skills,) and relied heavily on the skills of immigrants Alexander Hamilton and Lafayette. If not for the financial & weapon support of the French, we surely would have been defeated. Ethnocentrism arises from those who are fearful. Excessive fear to the point of becoming hatred is mentally ill.
