New to the area (Adel) I don't know why someone would flag others just trying to get established with new friends in a new town - perhaps because I stated what we are NOT looking for. So.....not looking for anything that is not stated. No coded messages. No inferences. My husband and I recently moved to Adel. I was seriously mistaken in my assumption that there would be a tad more to it, being close to Valdosta...yeah, yeah, I know - my own fault. But still I hold out hope that maybe there are some like-minded people out there. I’m 49. Hubby is 68. I absolutely live for my animals - dogs, farm critters, etc. We’re both handy and creative. We’re always working on one project or another. Hub’s would love to meet other wood turners (literally turning logs into art on a lathe). I’d like to grow a garden (literally growing food in the soil). We’re not into talking or practicing politics or any particular religion and have no interest in being convinced or converted. We strongly believe in live and let live, and accept people for who they are.
