Would like to find a better suited home for River, an Australian shepherd. I took her in about 2 years ago from someone that was trying to train her to be a working dog, and she was "untrainable" so I took her. Found out quickly that she was very timid and acted like she was abused. She has come sooo far since then. She loves other animals..we have cats, small dogs, chicken, geese and pigs. I would recommend she not be an only pet, she will have some separation anxiety and boredom behaviors. I recommend she has lots of outside yard and time as she loves to be outside. She has learned to sit for treats....but that's about it. I didn't bond with her as I'd hoped to (like I did with my past aussies) and think maybe there's another family that's better suited for her. I've struggled with the thought of letting her go for a long time because I don't want her to go from house to house if she doesn't work out for someone else....but its not fair to her to keep her if there's another family out there that could love her more. If you think you could give her a better home please contact me and we can meet. There will be a Rehoming fee to hopefully ensure she doesn't get into the wrong hands of someone that will just resell her for more money. But I'm not certain yet of the price. It won't be anything ridiculous or even close to what a backyard breeder tries to get. I care more about her than the money. Contact me and let's meet in person.
