The Platform of Hope hosts our FIRST in person external event in over two years! Join us for the launch of our 2021 Annual Report. Wednesday, March 30th 4:00-5:30pm The 2021 Annual Report features data and themes from our 2021 program year, the third year of The Platform of Hope's innovative, family-centered pilot initiative. 2021 was a year of deep challenges for Black and brown families in DC but as our report shows, also a year of true resilience, progress and hope for recovery. Learn more about our model, family stories and importance of social capital! AGENDA4-5pm Themes of the Report- led by Advisory Board member Cara Brumfeld (Senior Analyst, Georgetown Center on Poverty and Inequality) with contributions by POH staff and families. Located at Potter's House , join us for an interactive and socially distanced conversation together indoors (1658 Columbia Road NW). 5-5:30pm Tour of the POH offices - optional- join us for a tour of the Platform of Hope's office just two blocks away, as well as some refreshments and continued connection! Located at POH Office with the informal tour held indoors and food + drinks on our porch (2708 Ontario Road NW). About the Platform of Hope: Founded in 2017 and launched in 2018 with the leadership of Jubilee Housing, Jubilee JumpStart, Mary's Center and Sitar Arts Center, the Platform of Hope works with cohorts of economically vulnerable families of color based in Ward 1. Our mission is to amplify the ability of families to define and pursue family success with the support of a platform of coordinated resources within a close-knit, community experience.
