Welcome to the 2022 Citizens’ Climate Lobby Ohio State Conference! Please join us at the Citizens' Climate Lobby (CCL) Ohio State Conference! CCL builds the political will for our elected representatives to take action on climate change. Our State Conference is an opportunity for newcomers and longtime CCL members to gather to learn, practice skills, inspire each other, and strategize in moving our country toward climate solutions. For more information, contact John Sabin ([email protected]). COVID-19 All attendees are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19 and to be masked during the event. FEES Tickets are free. There is a $12 parking fee imposed by Ohio State University. Please contact John Sabin ([email protected]) if this is a financial hardship. There will be a $5 donation to be collected on the day of the event if you would like pizza for lunch. AGENDA 10 am-10:45 am: Welcome and review of Ohio CCL successes since 2020, led by Peg Fischer, Ohio CCL State Coordinator. 10:45-12 noon: A Bipartisan Campaign for Renewable Energy in Ohio, featuring Dion Mensah, Energy Justice Fellow from the Ohio Environmental Council and Sarah Spence, Executive Director of the Ohio Conservative Energy Forum. 12-1:30 pm: Lunch break, including tours of the Byrd Polar and Climate Research Center. 1:30-2:15 pm: Giving and Scheduling Presentations, led by John Sabin, Great Lakes Regional Coordinator. 2:15-3 pm: Resilience for the Work Ahead, led by Amy Shoko Brown, Independent Health, Wellness and Fitness Professional with over 30 years of compassionate mindfulness training. REGISTRATION Minors (under 18) Registration: If you are under the age of 18, or are registering for someone under 18, a signed permission slip must be completed to attend the conference.
