Tables Of Two = $35., Four = $75., Five = &87.50 Six = $105., Eight = $130, Twelve = $210 Tony Cintrón - Drums: Tony Is a Puerto Rican American originally from the Bronx, Tony Cintrón was raised as an inquisitive young musician in the culturally diverse city of Mt. Vernon, NY. Developing an innate ability to perform on drums or percussion with equal skill, Tony was often jamming, gigging, and subsequently recording and touring with adept musicians from numerous genres. Even UNLIMITED TOUCH represented a unique “post-disco” hybrid that appealed to his rhythmic sensibilities. The most outgoing personality of the group, Tony first “recognized” the guys approaching a New York City street corner one fateful night as Crown Heights Affair; who later took an interest in producing the young upstart group now being honored tonight. Tony has been on stages and in studios around the world with such diverse artists as Tom Browne, Roberta Flack, Herb Alpert, Phyllis Hyman, Noel Pointer, Spyro Gyra, Willie Colón, Ruben Blades, and as of late, Grammy-Award winning DJ-Producer Louie Vega with his “Elements of Life” Band. Tony also had a Grammy Nomination for his drumming contributions on jazz legend Dizzy Gillespie’s album featuring Stevie Wonder called “Closer To The Source”. Alex Apolo Ayala- Upright/Baby Bass Puerto Rican Bassist Alex "Apolo" Ayala-Berríos embodies the spirit of the multi-lingual musician. His vast knowledge of both Latin music and Jazz languages makes him one of the few bi-lingual bassists in the music scene. A native from San Juan,Puerto Rico, he blends his Afro-Caribbean roots with the Jazz language, which enables him to pace himself through Swing, Bebop, Blues, Bomba, Plena, Rumba, and explorations of other Latin-American expressions (Samba/Bossa, Tango, Afro-Peruvian, Afro- Colombian, Afro-Venezuelan). With a professional career of 20 years, his body of work includes performances, tours, recordings, and Grammy-Nominations with a vast majority of Latin music giants and world-renowned Jazz musicians. Gilberto SantaRosa, Roberto Rohena, Richie Ray & Bobby Cruz, Spanish Harlem Orchestra, Mambo Legends Orchestra, Tito Nieves, Tito Rojas, Orquesta Akokán, Puerto Rican Power, Luis “Perico” Ortíz, Giovanni Hidalgo, Antonio Hart, Papo Vázquez, Nestor Torres, Conrad Herwig, Mike Eckroth, Flavio Silva, Edsel Gomez, Paoli Mejías, Ralph Irrizary & Timbalaye, Jerry Gonzalez, William Cepeda, Mitch Frohman, Los Pleneros de la 21, among many others, are on his resume. He’s also recorded for Puerto Rican rapper extraordinaire Residente. Based in New York City since 2013, he started in music at age 11. He studied and graduated with honors from "Escuela Libre de música de Hato Re ”, and later on he earned his BA Degree in Jazz and Caribbean Music from Conservatorio de Música de Puerto Rico (Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music), where he studied with legendary bassist Eddie Gomez, and worldwide renowned Saxophonist David Sanchez, among others. Currently, he plays with the Antonio Hart Quartet, Mike Eckroth Latin Jazz trio, Trombeatz, Flavio Silva’s Break Free, and serves as the Musical Director of Los Pleneros de la 21. His new Album, “BÁMBULA”, is set to be released in the Fall of 2021. Roberto Quintero - Congas/Tumbadoras In the world of percussion it is difficult to imagine not hearing the sound faithful to the Afro-Caribbean, folkloric, and multicultural roots of Roberto Quintero, with his of playing always achieves the counterpoint rhythm that supports the musical situation. Venezuelan percussionist, 42-time winner of the Grammy Award in genres such as Latin Jazz, Salsa, Pop, Instrumental Music with artists like Gonzalo Rubalcaba, David Samuels (Caribbean Jazz project), Hector Martignon, Franco de Vita, Spanish Harlem Orchestra, Juan Garcia-Herreros “Snow Owl” bass virtuoso, Afro Bop Big Band, Diane Schuur, Luisito Quintero, among others. Roberto Quintero was born in Caracas, the son of Ricardo Quintero and Eglee Correa, a family of great musical recognition in Venezuela. At seven years old, Quintero began to play the guitar and the Venezuelan cuatro, he took the first classes of his dad. After being recognized for his great musical talent receives training musical in the conservatory of Caracas Venezuela, among his teachers we can highlight Jesús (Totoño) Blanco and Farides Mijares. He has been supported by his parents and his extended family of outstanding musicians such as Luis, Carlos(Nene), Chu, Rafael, and Rosalía Quintero with whom he began to have his first musical experiences. In Venezuela Roberto Quintero was part of extensive presentations, recordings with renowned artists, and highly successful musical groups, arriving on this musical journey to be the percussionist for salsa star Oscar de León between 1991 and 1995. After having achieved success in his native country, he decided to expand his musical knowledge in the United States. In New York where he's lived for 25 years, he has now achieved all his music dreams and is now part of musical groups with very important international figures. Roberto Quintero is a versatile percussionist in any genre musical quality that leads him to collaborate with artists of different genres mentioned below. He has received international recognition from percussion magazines such as Drum Magazine. who made a very personal review of the life of this great artist. Roberto Quintero has been chosen by very prestigious percussion instrument companies such as Gong Bops, this company has made congas with its brand "Roberto Quintero" and they were inaugurated in 2018 at the renowned NAMM SHOW. As of 2014, he has decided to form the group "Quintero's Salsa Project" with his first cousin Luisito Quintero, a tribute to the legacy of his Quintero family, who have international recognition for their musical artistic distinction. With their project "Quintero's Salsa Project" they have had different recognitions, among them a nomination for the "Latin Grammys" in September 2019 as "Best Salsa Album" with their Album "Our Home". On February 27, 2020, They have been considered by the "Premios Latinos Fama" the best "Salsa Group" in New York City. Their most recent album "Tributo a la Dimension Latina" which was released in 2020 has been a winner at the "Hollywood Music in Media Awards". ” in the categories “Traditional Latin” & Live Stream Performance with the song “Ya tu lo Verás”, also together with the Colombian violinist Alejandra Torres, in “Best Performance” - “Improvisation in the summer” from the albums “Renacer y Four Seasons" on January 27, 2021, in Hollywood (USA). At the end of 2020, he was considered by the Dutch magazine Slagwerk Krant, to be one of the 10 best percussionists in the world. Bryan Carrott - Jazz Vibraphonist & Percussionist is a native of Queens Village, NY, and attended LaGuardia H.S. of Music & Art, where he began his percussion studies. He later earned his Bachelor of Music degree from William Paterson University, in Wayne, NJ. Over the last 30 yrs., Bryan has performed in over 20 countries & on over 70 recordings, with David "Fathead" Newman, Ralph Peterson, Henry Threadgill, Muhal Richard Abrams, Steve Kroon, Dave Douglas, Sam Rivers, Don Byron, Greg Osby, Bob Moses, Herbie Mann, Cassandra Wilson, Jay-Z, John Lurie’s Lounge Lizards, Greg Osby, Tom Harrell, & Jazz Passengers feat. Debbie Harry. For over 25 years, Bryan has been cited in DownBeat Magazine's International Critics and Readers Polls, & in 2015 he received top honor as a vibraphonist in the Rising Star category of the Critics Poll. As an assistant professor at Five Towns College in Dix Hills, NY. for the last 14 years, Mr. Carrott also serves as coordinator of percussion instruction, keyboard class instructor & percussion ensemble director. As an artist endorser for Majestic Mallet Instruments & Encore mallets, Bryan was a guest instructor at the Taipei Int’l Summer Percussion Camp in Taiwan, a featured soloist with Cologne, Germany's WDR Orchestra conducted by Gunther Schuller, and a mallet percussionist for Disney's stage production of the Lion King on Broadway. Bryan also serves as praise & worship music leader at the Church of the Intercessor, in Malverne, NY. Bobby Francheschini - Tenor/Soprano Saxes (pronounced Fran- chess- ski- knee) was born to a multicultural family and raised in NYC. Attended the High School of Music and Art and shortly thereafter began his musical career, touring, recording, writing, arranging, and producing for the cream of the crop of Jazz, Latin Jazz, Pop, Salsa, Funk, R&B, and World Music artists such as George Benson, Eddie Palmieri, Woody Shaw, Kenny Kirkland, Chris Botti, Tower Of Power (just songwriting and arranging), Randy Brecker, Chaka Khan, Michel Camilo, Willie Colon, Ruben Blades, Richard Bona, Jennifer Lopez, and Paul Simon. His first heavy touring and recording experience was with The Tom Browne Band which also featured, Marcus Miller, Omar Hakim, and Bobby Broom. Bob has played sax and various woodwinds on many TV and film scores for directors Sidney Lumet, Paul Schrader, and many more. He also played on countless commercial jingles. Franceschini has played on over 200 CDs. Bob is well known for his work with guitarist Mike Stern. They are still touring the globe together. He has recorded on Stern‘s last five Grammy-nominated CDs as well as two critically acclaimed DVDs. He has been touring on and off for the last 8 years as the sub for Bob Mintzer with the legendary band The Yellow Jackets as well as subbing for Eric Marienthal with Jeff Lorber Fusion. Bob has most recently been part of a trio with bassist Victor Wooten that also features drummer Dennis Chambers. Their CD TRYPNOTYX has been in the top ten in iTunes several times since its release in September 2017. They are currently touring the world in support of this recording. Franceschini is known as an educator as well. He frequently does workshops and masterclasses the world over. He has many private students as well as students via Skype. For the last 7 years, he has been an instructor of music theory, composition, and improvisation at “Victor Wooten’s Center for Music and Nature” (vixcamps.com) in Nashville Tennessee with students of all ages (8-68) from all over the world. Most notably Bob co-leads and organizes a highly successful week-long sax intensive at Wooten Woods called “Inside /Outside Saxophone Retreat”. www.insideoutsideretreat.com. Put together with saxophonist/educator Bob Reynolds and saxophonist/naturalist Bob Heminger. The three Bobs have also included Joshua Redman, Chris Potter, Steve Wilson, Kirk Whalum, Branford Marsalis, Jeff Coffin, and others as instructors. We're sorry, there are no refunds after tickets have been purchased. In the event of a pandemic, rain, snow, or other forms of weather which prohibit a performance, the performance date will be postponed and rescheduled for another date within a reasonable amount of time. If the new date is postponed, a future alternate date will be picked at the discretion of Bethel Jazz and the musical artist. The ticket holder will be notified of postponements, cancelations, and rescheduled dates via email. Tickets are non-refundable and may be transferred to another person in the event a purchaser can not make the rescheduled date. In the event, an artist cancels a date, and Bethel Jazz is unable to reschedule the artist, Bethel Jazz reserves the right to provide a substitute performer of equal quality without notice to the ticket purchaser. If a date is canceled and not rescheduled, Bethel Jazz will provide a refund (in some cases minus the Eventbrite fee) or credit for another performance at the choice of the ticket holder. Bethel Jazz will always do its best to accommodate for changes in seating, table sizes, or changes to tickets.
