WE Kids is the Wellness Environment for kids offering dance fitness, nutrition education, & visual art activities to support kids health. WE Kids is the Wellness Environment for kids offering monthly themed dance fitness, nutrition education, & visual art activities designed to promote kids health, support family wellness, and community well-being. This monthly activity is made possible through a community partnership between MacArthur Center and NewMan Fitness Foundation to promote kids health, support family wellness, and community well-being. Featured activites: * Monthly themes: Each month we feature a select National Health Observances (NHOs) that align with our priorities for improving health across the communities we serve. (i.e. February wear red for Heart health, June wear blue for Men's health). * Zumba® Kids with Tanecia & Tamerah: Perfect for our younger Zumba® fans! This mommy-daughter dance fitness duo loves to bust a move, travel the world through music, and meet new friends along the way. Note: some months may feature a different kid-friendly fitness activity (i.e. stretch & flex, indoor golf course). * Visual Arts: Paint, color, create art that reinforce healthy habits such as physical activity, healthy food choices, and proper portions. This class is a great way for parents and kids to bond through dance and play. Benefits: Helps develop a healthy lifestyle and incorporate fitness as a natural part of children's lives by making fitness fun. Classes incorporate key childhood development elements like leadership, respect, team work, confidence, self-esteem, memory, creativity, coordination, cultural awareness. Class location: MacArthur Center Game Room located on the 1st floor beside the Vans store. Parking: North side of MacArthur Center garage. Cost $1 for garage parking. Free street parking.
