At this time, masks are required to be worn at in-person events, no exceptions. Join us in-person for a heartwarming storytime with Massachusetts authors Sam Donovan and Kristen Wixed. Sam is known as a fashion designer and was a runner-up on Project Runway: Under the Gunn, and took 4th place on Season 5 of Project Runway: All Stars. Kristen is known for writing charming picture books and middle grade novels. During this event Sam and Kristen will read their new picture book MISS RITA, MYSTERY READER, about a young kid who can’t wait to show off their Daddy’s drag queen alter ego, Miss Rita, at their school storytime. This fun and relatable family story celebrates drag queens, reading, and self-acceptance, teaching every kid to let their sparkle shine! There will be a drag queen at the storytime lip syncing to kid-favorite songs, and kids are encouraged to dress up in their favorite outfits.
