MUSIC THEORY INSTRUCTOR is now accepting new students for 2022. You will receive instruction concerning the concepts and norms needed to compose, arrange, or write music. Additional instruction includes offering students insight into the components that make up the “language” of music. The depth of your music theory lessons will depend on the level at which you wish to ascend. At a beginner or intermediate level you will learn about the different elements of notation and musical scores, while at an advanced level we will focus on the philosophy and craft behind the use of various musical variables. Your instructor’s education credentials include a degree in music education and performance from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music in Bloomington, Indiana; a music conservatory established in 1921. The Jacobs School ranks seventh among performing arts educational institutions worldwide and second nationally. PLEASE NOTE ==>All instruction will take place via Zoom Video Telephony & Online Chat Services or in studio located near Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, FL. ==>A no-charge 15-30 minute consultation via telephone or Zoom is required before acceptance. ==>Tuition includes all weekly instruction materials, is due at time of acceptance and is paid in 3 month increments at $150 per month. ==>Lessons are weekly and are 50 minutes long. ==>All lessons are available to be audio and/or video recorded for students at no additional cost. ==>Only fully vaccinated (for COVID19) students will be accepted. Masks are optional. Your instructor is fully vaccinated and will be masked. ==>Current openings are for 4 new students on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. ==>Musical transcription and instrumental arrangement services for your compositions are also available.
