LyriCollages Workshop at Nest w/ Gae Polisner Welcome Gae Polisner, author of Consider the Octopus, as she teaches her first workshop here at Nest On Main. Gae is a local to Northport, a writer of young adult and middle grade books, and also the creator of LyriCollage! Come join us May 6th, 2022 at 6PM to make some amazing collages inspired by your favorite song lyrics or poetry! Gae will teach you to create an eye-popping, collaged "Manifestation" or "Dreams & Goals” box and an inspirational mini journal – that doubles as a work of art. Learn to make collages that have so much meaning and are a delight to perceive. Most materials are included (including tins, journals, easels, glitter and glue), if you can please bring your own scissors. Before the class begins, please also gather magazine images that inspire you (although Gae will also have plenty of imagery on hand!) and also think about favorite song lyrics or poems you'd like to use to anchor your projects. *Please note that if you choose to seal your own projects, you’ll have to do this at home in order to give them adequate time to dry. Gae uses Alene’s spray Acrylic Gloss Finish (and does this outdoors) :) Refund Policy: Seating for this class is limited and tickets are nonrefundable.
