Rental, Utility, and Employment Assistance Get Help to Apply for Services NOW Attend the Warrant Forgiveness - Court in the Community Event and get on-site help to apply for Community Action Partners (CAP) & City of Fort Worth EnVision Center services. Registration required. RENTAL & UTILITY ASSISTANCE CAP works with families and individuals to overcome barriers to achieve self-sufficiency. CAP offers rental and utility (electric, gas or propane) assistance to families with low or fixed household incomes who reside in Tarrant County and Stop Six area. Help will be available on-site for rent, past due rent, utilities, and past due utility payments. EMPLOYMENT ASSISTANCE Job skills, training and employment assistance available on-site through City of Fort Worth EnVision Center to eligible attendees, residing in Tarrant County, who want to advance their education and employment opportunities. Job skills, training and employment assistance may be available. CAP will assess applications and solely determine eligibility and/or the amount of financial help available to each household based upon current total household income in the last 30 days. CAP will pay assistance directly to the landlord, property management company, financial institution, and/or utility provider. DATE & LOCATION Saturday, April 9, 2022 9 am to 12:00 pm Sweet Home Baptist Church, 5225 Ramey Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76105 WHAT TO BRING : Government issued photo ID for all household members 18 and over Social Security Card for all household membersProof of Income or Hardship for last 30 days for all household members 18 and overProof of US Citizenship for all household members Current utility bills (Water, Gas, Electric, and /or Propane) Current lease agreementELIGIBILITY Application must be complete and include all required documents to be processed. You are responsible for paying your bill or making payment arrangements until your application is processed and you are notified. Approved payments are provided directly to the utility provider, landlord, property management or mortgage company and/or financial institution. In order to apply for services, applicants must: Must live in Tarrant County. Must be the account holder or authorized user on utility account if requesting utility assistance. Utility assistance covers electricity, water and gas/ propane only.Must be the primary lease or mortgage holder if requesting rental or mortgage assistance.May only apply for rent, mortgage or utility assistance related to one primary property. If applicable, applicants must provide documentation to prove hardship related to COVID-19 that renders the household unable to pay rent, mortgage, utilities and/or related household expenses such as medicine and food.
