LAKE COUNTY, IL —The Lake County Health Department is hiring people to help in investigating cases of COVID-19. Job responsibilities for contact tracers and case investigators include: Participate in office and field investigations of infectious diseases; interview the cases and contactsConduct case investigations and interview individuals who have tested positive for a communicable disease in the communityEducate individuals and their household contacts on issues such as disease spread, prevention and mitigation, including isolation and quarantine guidelinesCollect information on household/close contacts to monitor for illness Illinois Coronavirus Update Sept. 29: 289,639 Cases, 8,614 Deaths The health department is focused on hiring Lake County residents from communities most impacted by COVID-19.
