Morals/values, self-esteem, self-worth and self-love are for Lames! Yasss Hunty to, designer clothes, big booties, weave & money! "Huh?" What our girls see on social media is MOSTLY false advertisement and fake news. By nature, we are drawn to images (pictures), the longer we look at an image the more our imagination begin to paint us in the pictures and the more we feel less than and inadequate. What we don't know and can't see is, that's when low self-esteem, no self-worth and the spirit of comparison settles in and begins to take over. Those roots are growing deeper by the second the more we SEE images and pictures that don't resemble our mirror. Envy, Jealousy and the spirit of comparison starts to manifest. We become the I'LL DO ANYTHING TO FIT IN, I'LL ACCEPT ANYTHING and the I WISH THAT WAS ME GIRL! Maybe you forgot what happen to you as a child, you've always been treated like the bald-headed stepchild, or you never met your father. Because of this the spirits of neglect, rejection, abandonment or some forms of abuse have taken root. Your mother/father knows you will do the right thing, you get all A's, you're respectful, and obedient. What they don't know is on the outside you smile and say: I'm Okay. But on the inside, you feel pressured and stressed at times and the spirit of perfection roots are getting deeper and bigger by the day. We see VIOLENCE, SELF-MUTILATION, TEENAGE PREGNANCIES, PROMISCUITY, EATING DISORDERS, ALCOHOL/DRUG EXPERIEMENTATION/ADDICTION and/or DISRESPECTFUL BEHAVIOR but, what causes these ACTIONS, BEHAVIORS and RESULTS? ROOTS can literally destroy our image, kill our self-worth and self-esteem, be life altering and choke the life out of us; if we choose to ignore, block out or run from the ROOT CAUSE. In order to ACKNOWLEGE, ACCEPT, HAVE A HEAD ON COLLISSION, AND CONQUER these roots we must........ Attend Precious Rubies B-Weekly Workshops!!! Starting January 12th - Every 2nd & 4th Wednesday nights at 6pm until May 25th! Girls ages 11-17 - 6th grade to Seniors in high school (Yes seniors 18 years of age are welcome)
