A training for mental health professionals to enhance self-awareness and skill around supporting grieving teens in the clinical setting. It is estimated that 1 in 11 children in Tennessee will experience the death of a parent or sibling before turning 18 (CBEM, 2021). Join us for this interactive workshop that focuses on the understanding of death and response to grief in adolescence. Leaning objectives include: 1. A detailed look at the implications of specific losses encountered during adolescence, 2. Two contemporary models for the conceptualization of adolescent grief and 3. 10 unique and highly creative interventions that will engage teen grievers in your clinical setting.
