Jhariah ALL AGES Jhariah "cross between My Chemical Romance and Panic! at the Disco" ~Brooklyn Vegan Jhariah Genre is not so much a box to be confined in as it is a bag of tricks for Bronx-based musician/animator Jhariah Clare to pull from. The multi-disciplinary artist has a compulsion for writing larger than life songs, stacked high with strings, horns, keys, and broadway-esque vocal arrangements. So attendees of his live show may be surprised to see him hit the stage with no band in sight – just his drummer and musical collaborator Cole Raser seamlessly transitioning from hard-hitting rock cuts to complex swings fit for a Harlem jazz club. That chameleon-like musicality is exactly what makes the two of them such a fitting duo. Jhariah and Cole met through mutual friends at Pratt Institute, studying 2D animation and film, respectively. They quickly hit it off and before long, Jhariah’s solo project became a duo. The two of them function more like a pair of one-man-bands than two parts of a whole. Both emerging from a generation of increasingly self-sufficient independent musicians, this two-piece “band” takes that DIY attitude to heart. Spotify | Bandcamp | Instagram | Tik Tok PRESS: "New York's Jhariah has released a new EP which fuses maniacal circus music, theatrical rock opera vibes, punk/emo grit, and more. It can sound like a cross between My Chemical Romance and Panic! at the Disco, but Jhariah makes it his own." - Brooklyn Vegan "Jhariah’s stuff is very different. He’s really unique in that he pushes boundaries with literally everything that he does. It’s hard to categorize him into a genre, but I know that he has a lot of early Panic! At The Disco influences." Alt Press "It only takes a few minutes of A Beginner’s Guide To Faking Your Own Death, the new EP from Bronx-based singer-songwriter Jhariah, for you to realize that the project is going to be quite unlike anything you’ve heard before. The epic and enveloping nine-track EP is chock full of theatrical production and massive arrangements that feature strings, horns, keys, and more. Together, the project is a masterclass in musical excess that finds each track building a world unto itself before quickly tearing it down and moving onto the next one." - Uproxx "Jhariah Clare is an NYC native with some powerful vocals and big energy. His presence is bold and captivating in nature, but it’s his style that steals the show. Inspired by theatrical pop culture, hip-hop, and rock ‘n’ roll," `- New Noise Jhariah
